Terms of Service
Effective date: 23 October 2026
1. About us
The SkillShop online store at https://skillshop.ie is operated by SkillShop Ltd, a company registered in Ireland (company number 576351), registered office 13 Castletown, Leixlip, Co. Kildare, W23 X5T6, Ireland, VAT number IE3517212CH. Email: info@skillshop.ie · Phone: 01 6216363.
These terms apply to your use of our store and to every order you place with us. Please read them, together with our Shipping Policy, Returns & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, before ordering.
Consumers: nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
2. Our products
· We supply pre-hospital, emergency and medical equipment (including AEDs/defibrillators, AED cabinets, traction splints, fluid and blood warming systems, ECG devices, head-injury screening devices and warming blankets) and the InciTent™ privacy and weather shelter.
· Some products are intended for use by trained healthcare or emergency professionals. Always use products in line with the manufacturer's instructions for use and your own training and protocols.
· The InciTent™ is not a medical device and does not replace first aid or emergency services. Deploying it should never delay care, and it should only be used where it is safe to do so, taking account of wind, weather and traffic.
· Product information, specifications and regulatory status (e.g. CE marking) are provided by the manufacturer.
· Images are for illustration. Colours and packaging may vary slightly.
3. Quote-only products
Some products are shown without an online price and cannot be bought through checkout. For these, please use the enquiry form on the product page or contact info@skillshop.ie. We will send you a written quotation; the quotation's own terms (price, delivery, installation, training, validity period) apply to that order, together with these terms where the quotation does not say otherwise.
4. Prices and payment
· All prices are in euro (€) and include VAT at the applicable rate. Any delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay.
· We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order. Organisations that need to pay by invoice or purchase order can contact info@skillshop.ie to discuss this.
· If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of an error, we will contact you, and you may either confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
5. Orders and contract
· When you place an order you will receive an email acknowledging it. The contract between us is formed when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched.
· We may decline an order, for example if the product is out of stock, there is a pricing error or we suspect fraud. If we do, we will refund any payment in full.
6. Delivery and risk
We deliver to the Republic of Ireland, and some products also to the United Kingdom, the other 26 EU member states, Norway and Switzerland. Where each product can be delivered, and our delivery charges and times, are set out in our Shipping Policy. Risk passes to you when you, or a person you nominate (other than the carrier), take physical possession of the goods. Ownership passes to you on delivery, provided we have received full payment.
7. Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. You pay the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty or not as described. See our Returns & Refund Policy for how to cancel, return goods and receive your refund, and for the model cancellation form.
8. Faulty goods and your legal rights
We must supply goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If your goods are faulty or not as described, you are entitled to remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, which may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund. Please contact info@skillshop.ie. Any manufacturer's guarantee supplied with the product is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights.
9. Business customers
If you buy for purposes related to your trade, business or profession (including on behalf of a public body, hospital, emergency service, school, club or other organisation):
· the statutory 14-day cancellation right does not apply;
· to the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss of profit.
10. Our liability
· We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
· We are not responsible for loss caused by misuse of the product, failure to follow its instructions, or use for anything other than its intended purpose.
· Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, under the Liability for Defective Products Act 1991 (as amended), or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law.
11. Use of our website
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. All content on the site, including text, images, logos and the SkillShop and InciTent™ names and branding, is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied or used without permission. Third-party product names and trade marks belong to their respective owners. We aim to keep the site available and accurate but cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Personal data
We use your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please email info@skillshop.ie and we will try to resolve it quickly. Consumers can also get information and advice from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (www.ccpc.ie). For lower-value claims, the Small Claims procedure of the Irish District Court may be available.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
15. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
